Dance has always been a passion of mine. I took ballet classes as a young girl until I was about 11 years old. At that time, my family moved from Michigan to Tennessee, and I never found a place at a new dance studio. Instead, I joined my high school’s dance team. In high school I began to dream of owning my own studio and sharing my love of dance with my community. Life chose a different path for me for several years. I got married, had two beautiful girls, and became a special education teacher (a job I am very passionate about). In 2017, I was offered the opportunity to purchase the dance studio where my two girls have grown up dancing. It was a dream come true. The journey from deciding to purchase the studio to the actual day I took ownership (January 2, 2018) was a roller coaster. We turned our life upside down to bring this dream to a reality. I am so thankful for all the people who have played integral roles in helping make my dream come true.

I leave you with some final thoughts, some my own and some that have helped inspire me to keep going and never give up.

“She believed she could, so she did.”

“We dance to express, not impress.”

“Dance to the moon and reach for the stars.”

“You are your only limit.”

“Collect moments not things.”

“Enjoy the little things.”

“Dream the impossible, seek the unknown, achieve greatness.”

“This is our happy place.”

“Have courage and be kind.”

“Perhaps you were born for such a time as this.” Esther 4:14

“Today is your day.”

“Dance through life.”

“Any dream will do.”

“Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, and faithful in prayer.” Romans 12:12

“The best friendships are unexpected.”

“We are thankful for nights that turn into mornings, friends that tun into family, and dreams that turn into reality.”
