Dance has always been my first love. I was so thankful that both of my beautiful daughters fell in love with it too. I started my ballet training when I was in 1st grade and trained for 4 years with Patsy Watson. I took some time away from ballet and joined my high school dance team which I participated for 2 years. As an adult I continued my ballet training for 4 years with Angelika Stegmann. I also assisted Angelika in her Creative Movement Classes for 1 year. I continue to take dance classes when my schedule allows. I can't imagine my life without dance. Outside of taking class I have been the director of Stage Right School of Performing Arts since January 2018. I am so lucky to be living my childhood dream and getting to participate in the dance education of so many wonderful people. When I am not at the studio I am teaching Special Education at Summit High School, a job I am very passionate about. I have been a school teacher sine July 2010 and a high school teacher since August 2016. I absolutely love high school. Before I became a Special Education teacher I was a preschool teacher for 3 years. I which is where I fell in love with working with children. I find it very fitting that I am able to come full circle and not only teach dance (my first love), but I am also teaching preschoolers dance. God has such a great sense of humor. I look forward to meeting your tiny dancers and helping them grow and become confident children, tweens, teen, young adults, and one day adults.
I am certified in Acrobatic Arts Module 1 and Preschool Acrobatic Arts.
I am working on my teacher certification in Once Upon a Ballet.
I am also working on my 200 Hour Yoga and 20 Hour Youth Yoga certifications.
