Lela Grace Anderson
A passion for dance, theater, and music has characterized Lela Grace’s life since she was three years old. She has taken ballet for 16 years and has extensive experience in pointe, modern, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, tap, Broadway dance, and choreography.
Lela Grace was with Stegmann’s School of Performing arts from the day they opened their doors and she loved every minute of it! The outstanding dance instructors became mentors and friends. Stage Right is truly the legacy and continuation of the beautiful community of Stegmann’s, and thus Lela Grace is thrilled to be returning this fall as a dance instructor!
Lela Grace is certified in Commercial Entertainment from Columbia State Community College . She studied intensively in ballet, jazz, tap, choreography, voice, piano, fundamentals of music, stagecraft, entertainment business, audition techniques, Broadway dance, and musical theater. She has performed in numerous dance and stage productions including Pippin, Annie Get Your Gun, Midsummer Night’s Dream, and Fiddler on the Roof.
Lela Grace is choreographer for Off The Square Theater Company and worked on their most recent musicals “Oliver!” and “The Wizard of Oz” (where she made an appearance in the Emerald city, performing a tap duet). She also served as the backstage manager for both productions. She will be returning to OTS in the fall as well as teaching at Stage Right.
Lela Grace will begin studying philosophy at New College Franklin this fall while continuing to follow her dream as dancer, dance teacher, and choreographer.
